ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR THE 2019-2020 SEASON
String Auditions: Saturday, September 28, 2019 between 9:30AM and 5PM (schedule to be determined)

Principal Flute and Principal Trumpet will be on Saturday, October 5th 2019 between 9:30AM and 5PM (schedule to be determined).

All auditions will be held at the Camelback Bible Church 3900 E Stanford Dr, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253 (Family Life Center, look for the signs on the campus).

The West Valley Symphony is now a per service W2 employer. All winning candidates will receive a contract/rule book. To apply for an audition please email your resume: Tony Masiello, Personnel Manager:

All positions are paid according to the WVS per service scale based on the typical concert cycle scale for three (3) rehearsals, one (1) sound check and one (1) concert for a total of 5 services per concert cycle. Associate Concertmaster and all other principal positions are paid at $315 per typical concert cycle. All Section positions pay $257.25 for the typical five (5) service cycle. Any extra rehearsals or services will be paid accordingly to our scale rates for rehearsal, sound checks or concerts. The WVS pays all musicians an incentive for the number of concerts played. After 3 concerts, the 4th concert played is 10% over scale, the 5th concert at 15% and the 6th at 20% over scale. The concerts need not be consecutive. The premium pay is calculated by the number of concerts played in any order
