LOCAL 586 MEMBERS,
It is with regret that the General Membership Meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2020 has been postponed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and pursuant to AFM OFFICERS memo dated April 5, 2020.
In its place, Local 586 will hold a Town Hall meeting for our 371 active members only via ZOOM on Thursday, October 1st, 2020 at 7:00 pm. During this meeting the Officers will present the state of Local 586 to our members. We will be sending out a ZOOM invite on September 28, 2020 via Constant Contact.
The INFORMATIONAL TOWN HALL is not a General Meeting and therefore will not be conducted as such. This presentation is informational only and will not include live chat or discussions. All attendees will be asked to Mute Microphone & Turn Off Video once we begin the presentation. The Town Hall will be recorded and could be viewed by coming down to the hall in the future.
In consideration of our 371 members in order for us to provide support to all that are wanting to attend this presentation, discussions via CHAT will not be accepted. ZOOM CHAT feature will only be addressing technical issues a member may be experiencing during the presentation.
Any questions, comments or concerns regarding any other subject will not be addressed.
We do recognize that members may have questions regarding what is taking place down here at Local 586 during this unfortunate time. We will be accepting questions in a written format only prior to the Town Hall and will attempt to address in the presentation, if possible. In order to have your questions considered, submit your question no later than September 20, 2020 by emailing 586townhall@gmail.com . The cut-off date of September 20 is firm. Following the Town Hall, should you feel your question was not answered to your satisfaction or if you have a new question, email us again after October 1, 2020 for a response, to come at a later date.
Remember to look for the ZOOM invite that includes details and password on September 28, 2020 via Constant Contact. If you do not receive this invite let us know no later than noon on September 30, 2020 and we will fix the situation, if possible.
We hope to have a General Meeting on January 12th, 2021, pending the current Covid-19 pandemic.
