Phoenix Children's Chorus Seeking Choral Conductor

THE PHOENIX CHILDREN'S CHORUS HAS AN OPENING FOR THE 2012-2013 SEASON!
PCC will be interviewing for a choral conducting position beginning next fall. This Phoenix Children’s Chorus is comprised of nearly 350 students from 2nd to 12th grade in seven different ensembles. Rehearsals are Tuesdays in Downtown Phoenix, and Thursdays at our East Valley location in Chandler, as well as six Saturdays per year. Students learn music literacy, healthy vocal technique and performance skills.
The Chorus produces three concert series per year and the advanced ensembles tour each summer.
Qualified candidates will hold a degree in Choral Conducting or Choral Music Education, have choral conducting experience, possess dynamic rehearsal skills, a good knowledge of Kodaly methodology and vocal pedagogy, and the ability to interact positively with students and parents.
Pay is commensurate with experience. Interviews will be held in March.
